A 40-year-old tradition
Launched in 1986 following a stroke of inspiration by Pier Franco Gavagnin, director of Portosole Sanremo, the Vele d’Epoca di Imperia has become a key event in the Mediterranean classic yacht racing calendar.
Around 30 boats took part in the first gathering, a significant number that marked the first step towards the event’s exponential growth.
Having joined various international circuits over the years, they return to Imperia every September.
