From 2 September to 5 September 2026, Imperia once again became the venue for the Vele d’Epoca regattas as part of the Imperia International Sailing Week.
The historic gathering of the ‘queens of the sea’, which since 1986 has offered unique experiences both at sea and on land, allowing sports enthusiasts, the public and all fans to experience the city in all its forms.
Falcon, the 1926 Q-Class owned by the shipowner Montero De Barros, is the overall winner of the 40th anniversary edition of the Vele d’Epoca regatta in Imperia. One of the most famous vintage racing yachts – whose waterlines, it is said, inspired the design of the J-Class Ranger – came out on top in the four races of the Ligurian regatta, competing with a crew made up mostly of very young sailors.
