Costruita nei Grandi Laghi americani nel 1913 dal cantiere Mc Clure su progetto di William Gardner (il famoso progettista di “Atlantic”).
Olympian è un P Class che per 100 anni non ha mai abbandonato Chicago dove ha vinto la “Chicago to MacKinac race” nel 1913 e nel 1914.
Nel luglio 2014 ha finalmente attraversato l’Atlantico (trasportata in un container) per venire a gareggiare nel Circuito Mediterraneo, grazie anche allo straordinario lavoro di Bruno Troublé che, ritrovandola in un hangar del Mid-West, l’ha fatta restaurare in un cantiere del Maine per poterla consegnare al suo attuale armatore.
Olympian ha ritrovato la suo originale bellezza è ha vinto il Premio di Eleganza alle Vele d’Epoca di Imperia 2014, gareggiando nella categoria Vintage.

Built on american Great Lakes by Mc Clure shipyard in 1913 on William Gardner’s design (the famous designer of “Atlantic” that kept the Atlantic crossing records for decades with Charlie Barr).
Olympian is a P Class that never left Chicago for 100 years where she won the “Chicago to MacKinac race” in 1913 and in 1914.
In July 2014 finally she has crossed the Atlantic (by ship) to come sailing in the warm Mediterranean Sea, following the great job of Bruno Troublé that has found her into a hangar in the Mid-West and managed the faboulus refit in a shipyard in Maine, on behalf of her new European owner.
Olympian has found her original beauty, after a meticulous refit that brought her back to initial design and rigging, and she won the Elegance Prizes at the Vele d’Epoca di Imperia 2014, sailing in the Vintage category.
