From September 11th to 15th 2002, thanks to the organization of Assonautica Provinciale, Imperia is going to be seat of the 12th Vintage Sails Meeting, that, for the first time, will be celebrated by the special issue of a postage stamp and the show of the acrobatic team of the Italian Air Force (Frecce Tricolori).

More than 100 of the nicest and most glamorous boats that have been writing the history of the world yachting since the end of the 19th century will take part in this event; more than 100 true floating jewels the beauty of which, in forgotten lines, merges with the charm and magic of precious woods, polished brasses and obsolete riggings. Big and small boats, some of them laden with sport glory, all of them with a story to tell, often adventurous and full of mysteries.
